Skegness Beach Clean On the 3rd of August, 2pm at Sea View, the Carrot Cake Education is coming to Skegness to help clean the beach, have a BBQ with all of their friends, listen to some music, make people smile and generally have a whole lot of fun, whilst raising awareness and making a difference. This gathering of friends will kick off at 2pm on the beach in front of Sea View Car Park, where all Friends of the Carrot Cake will be issued with safety gloves, bin bags and painted faces. We will then set about removing all the rubbish and marine litter from the beach and dunes, as we meander our way down toward the Pier and Main Beach. At 5pm on Main Beach, there will be a free BBQ and refreshments for everyone involved and a chance to chat with Dan and the Carrot Cake Team about… things and stuff? The evening’s festivities will start at 8pm at “Whisky a Go Go” on Grand Parade where there will be some fantastic bands performing, a chance to win loads of great prizes donated by our sponsors and a good old fashioned shindig with all our friends. The aim of the day is to encourage people to get down to their local beach and do their bit to make it clean and safe for all to enjoy whilst having a fun day out in the process. It’s a great opportunity for beach lovers to make a real and very positive difference to their local beach and will encourage unity amongst people from all walks of life within their local community.
